Luminar 4 vs Luminar AI

What is the difference between these two photo editors? It's a great question! Skylum software launched Luminar AI at the end of 2020 to much acclaim, a huge amount of media attention and also a lot of misunderstanding.

Many incorrectly assumed that artificial intelligence was going to do everything, edit the photo, remove your creative input, and possibly take over the world. None of which was or is the case (although I am a little wary how similar Skylum sounds to Skynet! A coincidence, surely!).

As Luminar has been widely recognised as one of the best photo editors available many people have been left wondering, should I buy Luminar 4 or Luminar AI. What's the difference, and do I need both? Or in fact either!
