Sky Replacements
What software will these skies work with?
The skies will work with any photo editor that has a sky replacement feature (e.g. Photoshop, Luminar Neo, Affinity photo etc.) or allows you to load them as layers.
How did you achieve such high quality images?
I've been annoyed in the past to buy other peoples sky collections and be disappointed by the lack of quality in the files. E.g. high levels of noise, overprocessing, blown out highlights etc. All of these are things I won't stand for in my own work. To achieve the high dynamic range, colour accuracy, and low noise I follow a dedicated multi-step procedure. Firstly I'll shoot a bracketed set of multiple exposures. These are merged to allow me to maintain detail in the brightest parts if the sun is visible. I then run a preliminary raw denoise function followed by a raw enhancement for sharpening. After the file has been edited so the sky looks as good as it possibly can I then run another optimization through https://bit.ly/TopazPhotoAI. The final file is clean, well processed, has an optimal dynamic range and minimal (if any) noise.
Are the skies captured so they go all the way to the horizon?
Yes! This is very important because sometimes we want to introduce a new sky to a scene where the land drops away to the horizon (e.g. a seascape) and the sky needs to be captured in a way that we don't lose any of the sky information and the perspective is authentic right down to the lower part of the sky. That's why Anthony has gone to great lengths to capture his skies to include all of the sky and cloud detail all the way the horizon - without including any of the land elements.
What size (dimensions) are the sky photos?
The image dimensions are all 48mp (48 megapixels). 8000 pixels on the horizontal edge and 6000 on the vertical edge. This means they are exceptionally high resolution and perfect for integrating into your photos regarrdless of the size.
Do I need to edit the skies?
All sky photos have been pre-processed by Anthony to ensure they are ready to go straight into your preferred editing program. The photos are optimized in advance for a variety of editing variables such as colour, contrast, clarity and sharpness.
What format do the sky replacements come in?
The photos have already been post processed, finely crafted and optimised so that they are ready to drag and drop into your photo. They are all saved in the most universally recognized format, jpeg. They are high resolution (48mp with minimal compression).
Why are the photos jpeg rather than raw?
The photos have already been edited to Anthony's high standards and undergone a series of image enhancements to take the raw photos enhance them and remove any noise artefacts. Once this heavy lifting has already been taken care of jpeg is the perfect file format for the photos.
How do I receive the sky replacements?
After your payment is processed, you'll instantly receive a link to download the sky pack. The skies are provided in a zipped file, which you can extract to your computer.
Can the sky photos be used in commercial projects?
Yes! Once you've purchased the skies, you're free to use them in your work however you like. The only restriction is that they cannot be resold or redistributed. You can incorporate them into composites, add graphical elements or text, and use them for commercial projects (advertising, marketing, etc.) without any extra fees or the need for additional licensing.

Texture Overlays
Can I use the textures for a commercial project?
Yes! Once you've purchased the textures, you're free to use them in your work however you like. The only restriction is that they cannot be resold or redistributed. You can incorporate them into composites, add graphical elements or text, and use them for commercial projects (advertising, marketing, etc.) without any extra fees or the need for additional licensing.
What resolution are the texture photos?
All textures are ultra high resolution and come in a 3:2 rectangular format ideal for either landscape or portrait orientation. The photos are 8256 x 5504 pixels (45 megapixels which is higher than 8K resolution). This means whatever quality is needed for your final output the qualities of these textures will hold up.
What software do I need to use these textures?
To be able to use these textures you need a layer-based photo editor such as Adobe Photoshop (https://bit.ly/CC-adobe) or Luminar Neo (https://bit.ly/NeoGenAI). Currently Lightroom does not support layers.
If I love a particular texture but not the colour can I change it?
Changing a colour of a texture is really simple. With the minimum of fuss you can either change the hue, brightness or saturation of a texture to suit your unique vision for your photo.
Can I use multiple textures over one photo?
For sure. In fact, I highly recommend playing around with the effect of adding more than one texture over a photo. This ensures your finished artwork is uniquely yours.
Why don't many of your textures get darker towards the edges like I've seen in other texture packs?
While vignettes (the darkening towards the edge of the frame) can be a powerful tool in helping guide the viewers eye, not every photo benefits from the addition of a vignette. That's why we have separated out the textures which add interest throughout your artwork without necessarily changing the exposure of the edges of the frame. We have created a separate vignette pack which is designed to give you ultimate control over darkening the edges of your frame, whether its through a natural smooth gradient or a texturized distressed look we strongly recommend picking up the vignette pack along with your texture packs.
What format do the textures come in?
The photos have been post processed, finely crafted and optimised so that they are ready to drag and drop into your photo. They are all saved in the most universally recognized format, jpeg. The resolution of the file and the pre processing results in a high quality jpeg which is the perfect addition to add artistry and interest to any project.
How do I receive the textures?
After your payment is processed, you'll instantly receive a link to download the texture pack. The textures are provided in a zipped file, which you can extract to your computer.
Are these textures just for Mac or just for PC?
These textures will work on both PC and Mac.
What if I’m not happy with my purchase?
We offer a 7-day “Love Your Edit Guarantee” on all digital products. If you’re not satisfied, we’ll refund you in full — just email us at hello@anthonyturnham.com.
